You may have missed it in the news recently, but apparently there’s a recession on at the moment and no one has any money.

It’s all doom and gloom out there right? Maybe so, but have you ever thought that you could use skills you didn’t even know that you had to give you a monetary boon in these hard times?

You no doubt know your hometown intimately, and of course you know what local businesses deserve your support. Have you ever thought about helping these businesses out by providing them a cheap marketing platform on which to help them through the tough times? You almost definitely haven’t of course! But with getmydeal.co.uk, we are happy to offer you the chance!

New Features at GetMyDeal

It’s been a little while since our last blog post at GetMyDeal HQ, so it’s about time we filled you in on what’s been happening in the last few days.

As you can imagine, we have been insanely busy as everything is taking off at a rapid rate! And it seems that the word on the street must be good because we’ve been getting loads of great feedback in such a short space of time!

We’ve been losing sleep trying to refine our website and social media presence so that we can be as easy to use and accessible as possible. We know that you don’t care about all the technical gubbins that we’ve lost sleep over in the last few days; you just want to know how things have improved for you right?

Essentially, we’ve made everything much easier to find, see and buy. When refining by a city, all the deals will be displayed large on one page, rather than having to click through any more annoying menus to see all the available deals. Hover your mouse over ‘View it’ and click on ‘See Detail’ to get taken to the great deal of your choice.

Another handy new feature that we have implemented is the ability to refine what deals that you may be interested in.

This feature is especially handy in when it comes to our national deals, so our top tip for the day is to remind you that you can select ‘National Deals’ from the city dropdown list. When we get larger, this could potentially open up a huge list of deals, so always remember you can narrow your interests using these handy checkboxes!

Lastly, we were experiencing major compatibility issues with Internet Explorer, which was displaying our site incorrectly. After some tinkering, we’ve now sorted this problem out, and we believe that the compatibility issues are now sorted. If you are experiencing this unusual problem however, please get in touch with us!

Here at get my deal towers, we have been working diligently through the night to ensure we have kicked off the site with a bang! Hopefully everything is in its right place and everything will go smoothly! We’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to launch, and we feel we are now perfectly poised to compete with the best of them. Here at getmydeal.co.uk, you will find a whole host of weekly, as opposed to daily deals. We believe that everyone should get a fair chance to claim a deal, as you will often find that daily deals will be snapped up, often before you can get a chance to go on the internet.

We try not to put any pressure on you to use our site; you have probably already noticed that there is no auto-sign in or mandatory newsletter sign-ups. This is so you can browse at your leisure to see what great bargains are available in your area. We will try and keep it as local as possible, but if you get lucky, we might have a great offer on a national scale, so you shouldn’t be short of a deal or two for too long at any one time.

The way we are operating, we are trying our utmost to provide a perfect balance between providing care for the merchant and the consumer. We believe that aggressive price slashing techniques that are used to get the maximum amount of people through the door doesn’t benefit anyone:- The merchant will make little money, and the customer is likely to have poor service. We aim to counteract this by offering realistic offers that benefits both parties.

As you may have gathered, we are a rather ethical company. One of the reasons we started was we have noticed some rather unscrupulous behaviour, and instead of putting up with it we have decided to combat this head on. Let us explain, often a deals percentage is judged by its RRP. If that recommended price is taken at its highest value from the manufacturer, and the product is widely available elsewhere for considerably cheaper, then that deal that was offering 60% off is not looking so sweet now is it?

No, what we do, is we use our skilled, trained salespeople to research the offers to its fullest. If they don’t benefit you, then we are not going to offer it. It’s as simple as that.
